Tallinn holds a meeting for the expert network of Nordic Casemix Centre
On October 27-28, Tallinn will be the venue for a meeting of the expert network of Nordic Casemix Centre. This is a biannual meeting for a group of experts who come together to discuss the recommendations by the users of the NordDRG System for changing the grouping rules of NordDRG.
Depending on the results of the discussion, the recommendations are either approved and the changes introduced in the grouping rules, or the recommendations are rejected or the discussion of a recommendation continues at the next meeting where is recommendation is backed up by more data and analyses. Nordic Casemix Centre is led by Dr. Martti Virtanen from Finland.
There are 17 experts participating in this year’s meeting – they are arriving from Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland, whereas the colleagues from Iceland will be joining via Skype. The Estonian Health Insurance Fund will be represented by Kadri Kangro, Chief Specialist in Health Care, and Kristiina Kahur, Head of Budgeting and Contracting Unit.
