Health Insurance Fund Submitted Planning Principles for Four Years' Expenditure and Covering Sources for Approval

The Board of the Estonian Health Insurance Fund decided at a meeting today to postpone the approval of the planning principles for the Fund's expenditure of a four-year period and the sources of covering the expenditure. According to the Board's decision, the Management Board of the Health Insurance Fund shall present further alternatives to the Board, in addition to the scenario submitted today. The Board will meet on September 17 for discussing the new scenarios.

The Board also approved the appointment of a new auditor for auditing the Health Insurance Fund's annual report for the financial year 2010 and verifying the legality of transactions. The reason for appointing a new auditor was the expiry of the previous agreement of auditing services. A procurement process for a new auditor was initiated and won by Deloitte Audit Eesti AS.
