The Estonian Health Insurance Fund is organising the conference "20 years of treatment and insurance. Goodbye, childhood! What will tomorrow bring?"

In 2012, the health insurance system of the second Republic of Estonia is celebrating its 20th birthday. To mark the occasion, the Estonian Health Insurance Fund will organise a conference titled “20 years of treatment and insurance. Goodbye, childhood! What will tomorrow bring?” on April 12. The conference will first and foremost focus on people, their expectations and possibilities in the healthcare system – both at the moment and in the future.

The conference will include discussions with doctors and patients on relevant subjects such as the availability and quality of healthcare services. Apart from presenters from Estonia, we have asked guest speakers from neighbouring countries to share their experiences. In addition, we would like to discuss the future of the healthcare system in Estonia with various parties and to offer an international perspective of the development prospects of healthcare.

We are hoping providers and users of healthcare services, healthcare organisers and other people interested in the subject will participate in the conference. The conference will be held in Tallinn, the conference centre of Swissôtel (Tornimäe 3) and is free of charge. Registering will be opened on 1 March at the website www.haigekassa.ee, where a more detailed schedule and the names of the speakers will also be announced.
