Delegation of the Moldovan Compulsory Health Insurance Fund Visits Estonia

This week, the co-operation project between the Estonian Health Insurance Fund (henceforth EHIF) and the Moldovan Compulsory Health Insurance Fund continues. This time, a team of ten Moldovans is visiting Estonia. During the one-week study session, the Moldovans will learn about strategic planning, creating a four-year financial prognosis and conducting medical and financial audits. Moreover, they will also be introduced to the principles of a competency management system, the basics of public relations for health insurance funds and cross-border health care.

The representatives of the Moldovan Compulsory Health Insurance Fund are also going to visit the Harju Department of EHIF, the Merelahe Centre of Family Medicine and the West Tallinn Central Hospital.   This is the second session for the staff of the Moldovan Compulsory Health Insurance Fund to be held within the course of the project “Supporting the Functioning of the Moldovan Health Insurance System”. The third session will take place next spring in Estonia.
