Family member of an employee

If the person goes to another Member State to work (his/her social tax will be paid in another country and he/she gets the insurance of another state), but his/her dependant family members remain in Estonia, then the family members get the insurance in the Estonian Health Insurance Fund after the registration of e-form issued by the new country of workplace. For that purpose the employee should turn to the competent institution of the country of workplace and apply for the form E109 for the family members who remained in Estonia, which should be sent to the Estonian Health Insurance Fund for registration. After the registration the family members get the insurance cover. The Estonian Health Insurance Fund sends the relevant notice to the family members.
